They read something I did about them on ilx ages ago - a cool little number and then boom - they email me .... it's cool - all the californian bands have been digging me as of late! i.e. a lesson to the kids at home - people do read yer 'net stuff.

i would alex - but shit, when you get the amount of haters that i do on ilx - having tonnes of unwarranted cynicism thrown on you ... it would suck. and yeah, i suck for not saying it - but i don't want to inflame the haters with specific knowledge of what i'm personally doing. but suffice to say, very fucking happy!

those far too familiar with ilx-lore probably have a good idea of the band sonny is talking about and as I recall they're not dissed by ILX so much as mainly under its radar screen with a few foax not too keen on them (i suspect). as for the messing around with real life sitch, i suspect the story is more complicated there too, but not blameless on either side (again based on a vague recollection of what this might be w/r/t).

in any case, let's let water under the bridge run on by or whatever.

altho honestly in my opinion -- liner notes, press releases = meh news. i guess if soome band i felt spectacular about asked me though, i'd probably be all excited too.
