a repeat by all accnts from 1994 but god knows
how i missed it at the time. funny interviews with
peel/moz/et al. loads of non-hatful beeb session stuff

There is a pretty funny with Morrissey in the new 'Word' magazine.

"So, did you hear Tatu's version of 'How Soon is Now?'"
"Yes it's wonderful - but I don't know anything about them..."
"They're Russian teenage lesbians."
"Aren't we all?"

Jerry the Nipper (Jerrynipper), Tuesday, 13 May 2003 15:07 (twenty-two years ago)

He's lost the hair and the songwriting genius..... but not the wit!

russ t, Tuesday, 13 May 2003 15:20 (twenty-two years ago)

Which issue of "Word" is this? The only one I have seen so far had Elvis Costello on the cover.

Nicole (Nicole), Tuesday, 13 May 2003 16:24 (twenty-two years ago)

Nice Tatu quote, but he was definitely setting himself up for a pre-prepared line there.

James Ball (James Ball), Wednesday, 14 May 2003 07:41 (twenty-two years ago)

Morrissey stole that "Aren't we all?" line from ME, the bastard!

Justyn Dillingham (Justyn Dillingham), Wednesday, 14 May 2003 08:06 (twenty-two years ago)

It's the one after the Costello one, Nicole. I think someone posted international ordering details on www.morrissey-solo.com (which looks like being sued by Morrissey!). It's a very good article by Andrew Harrison.

Jerry the Nipper (Jerrynipper), Wednesday, 14 May 2003 08:31 (twenty-two years ago)

(PS: in the article, Morrissey claims to be "dotting the i's" on a deal with Sanctuary records, which will also give him his own vanity label to sign acts/re-release old stuff.)

Jerry the Nipper (Jerrynipper), Wednesday, 14 May 2003 08:32 (twenty-two years ago)

Jerry -
please tell all about Morrissey Solo com - what's happening? I used to post on that site, but the people who post there are fucking horrible..... really vile.

russ t, Wednesday, 14 May 2003 08:41 (twenty-two years ago)

Someone started a rumour claiming that M hadn't paid his tour crew, and the guy who runs the site started a thread, and several people claiming to be roadies claimed not to have been paid ever. And then M's lawyers sent the webmaster a cease and desist notice, but I don't think the webmaster has ceased or desisted. It's all v. silly.

Jerry the Nipper (Jerrynipper), Wednesday, 14 May 2003 08:55 (twenty-two years ago)

Thanks Jerry.

The Morrissey-solo debacle is very silly and a bit of a shame.

Nicole (Nicole), Wednesday, 14 May 2003 12:15 (twenty-two years ago)

Yeah, quite. I know people who know David the webmaster reasonably well and hope to find out some more info...

Ned Raggett (Ned), Wednesday, 14 May 2003 12:18 (twenty-two years ago)

How unwise is Morrissey to have taken this course of action....? I read the lawyer letter to David - outrageous.
