A fine fine choice.

Not sure in my case. I was seriously thinking of David Sylvian solo, believe it or not...

Ned Raggett (Ned), Wednesday, 16 April 2003 03:27 (twenty-two years ago)

I should learn to put on like Boards of Canada or something before I go to bed, and not the Misfits. I get all hopped up and shit.

On Some Far Away Beach by Brian Eno

(I can cheat and listen to two songs before I go to bed, it is my thread!)

Mike Taylor (mjt), Wednesday, 16 April 2003 03:40 (twenty-two years ago)

Dock Boggs - _The Folkway Years_. Though i'm not going to bed just yet.

Matt Maxwell (Matt M.), Wednesday, 16 April 2003 03:45 (twenty-two years ago)

pantera's "vulgar display of power," melt-banana's "scratch or stich," g.g. allin's "freaks, faggots, drunks & junkies," and just as i'm nodding off, discs 1-12 of the merzbox.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Wednesday, 16 April 2003 04:27 (twenty-two years ago)

Sterling Clover (s_clover), Wednesday, 16 April 2003 04:39 (twenty-two years ago)

i could, of course, pretend that i'mma a-gonna go back to bead soon, after listening to Lalo Schifrin's Black Widow :-)

t\'\'t (t\'\'t), Wednesday, 16 April 2003 06:55 (twenty-two years ago)

weasel diesel (K1l14n), Wednesday, 16 April 2003 06:59 (twenty-two years ago)

Honda (Honda), Wednesday, 16 April 2003 07:13 (twenty-two years ago)

I usually listen to something relaxing, but I'm sick and I'm finding Rebirth Brass Band comforting, so I'm listen to 'Pop that Pussy' (feat. Cheeky Blakk).

Jordan (Jordan), Wednesday, 16 April 2003 07:16 (twenty-two years ago)

brian badword (badwords), Wednesday, 16 April 2003 08:22 (twenty-two years ago)

no neck blues band- stick and stones. perfect.

Julio Desouza (jdesouza), Wednesday, 16 April 2003 08:37 (twenty-two years ago)

I never did get to bed. But I listened to some Arvo Pärt pieces -- Magnificat and Fur Alina.

Jody Beth Rosen (Jody Beth Rosen), Wednesday, 16 April 2003 08:41 (twenty-two years ago)

Yesterday just before bedtime I listened to the wonderful atmospheric album "Zalig zijn de armen van geest" by At the Close of Every Day, which, even when you don't know it/them, is clearly a very appropriate thing to put on at that time of day...

willem (willem), Wednesday, 16 April 2003 08:42 (twenty-two years ago)

Not technincally music, but I've been dropping off to various Bill Hicks recordings recently (esp 'arizona bay' and 'flying saucer tour'). Plus, despite its apparent extremity, Masami Akita + Russel Haswell's 'Satanstornade' totally does the job through headphones; soporificity thru submission perhaps?.
