i'll be in montreal briefly this wknd. anyone up for a pub meet saturday night? (patrick: we could maybe do a trade then.)

also, my email's been somewhat funny once or twice over the last few days. has anyone here other than frank sent me anything? if so, try again 'cause i don't have it.

somewhere not too far from guy and sherbrooke would be great. i don't know much more. aren't there other people here from montreal?

There's a good record shop (for Montreal that is) near where you are. It's called Esoterik and it's on Ste-Catherine between St-Marc and St-Mathieu. From where you are, that's two streets south of Sherbrooke and two streets west of Guy.

Dunno if I'll be conscious on Saturday because I have afterhour plans for tonight. If not, I'm usually bummin' there 'round 3-4pm. Look for an Asian guy in the Velvet Underground shirt.

for a minute i though the north here referred to tha north of england. i go back fairly regularly and thought there could be a leeds/manchester/bradford (ok, maybe not bradford!) meet

Alex, either Esoterik is REALLY well-hidden or you are certifiably on crack, because I looked and looked and there's no such place on Ste-Catherine between St-Marc and St-Matthieu. They're not even in the phone book !

It *is* well-hidden. It's actually in the basement of a (I think) hair salon place. It's between St-Marc and St-Mathieu, a bit closer to St-Marc, on Ste-Catherine on the opposite side of the Faubourg (but not directly opposite). Blink and you'll miss it, but you can see some CDs on display at the window.
