But who are they? Unless that 'Band on the Run' bit is meant to refer to a TV show or something...

Ah, Ned. To live in your cathode-ray-free world of bliss. _Bands on the Run_ is a TV show, yes. 4 bands were picked to tour the same cities and try to one-up each other in terms of money earned. Shilling at its best & worst. Debauchery perpetrated by folks trying oh-so-desperately to be rock stars. Yeah, I'm jealous.

And I'll refrain from answering the question. But, this DOES pose an interesting question in my mind....

Trust me, it's a very nice place. I'm watching the first TV series episode I've seen in about two years -- but that's because I had to see what Thom Yorke would look like when animated by _South Park_.

I like Harlow as they added a bit of humor, mystique and much-needed sexual tension to the show, but what little music of theirs they played ("Michael Hunt," "Blue Light") I was largely underwhelmed by. If I had to pick a band out of the bunch whose music did appeal to me, it'd be Flickerstick's. But Rebecca and Rayshelle are dang cute, it must be said. Amanda needs to ditch those hair extensions. And the bass player looks like a drag queen. Yikes.

They brought a good element to the show and seem like fun, likeable people, but musically there's not a whole lot going on. Lots of mid tempo minor barre chords with seemingly dumb lyrics. I saw every episode and I thought it was kind of strange that they have 2 guitarists and I NEVER saw either one take even the briefest solo. Flickerstick were unquestionably the best band on that show (and Josh Dodes seemed decent also.) Don't even get me started on AssCracker and that stupid fucking D.A.R.E. T-shirt that douchebag constantly wore. Meanwhile, he smokes like a chimney and his singer's an alcoholic...
