electric sound of jim (electricsound), Wednesday, 16 April 2003 23:41 (twenty-two years ago)

I sold a CD copy of The Cure's "Seventeen Seconds" two years ago because I had a duplicate copy, and I was given a CD of Duran Duran's "Greatest" which I sold as well because I had it already. Those were the last two recordings I've sold.

I don't want to sell what I've got right now. I'm perfectly happy with everything I've got.

Dee the Lurker (Dee the Lurker), Thursday, 17 April 2003 03:00 (twenty-two years ago)

i don't remember. i had a box of sh*t which had piled up over a couple of years and i gave it to a friend to sell at the markets. i put what i thought at the time were the best songs on a few cdrs and couldn't be arsed writing down who they were (at the time i think i had a vague idea that not knowing who the artist was would make me appreciate the music more, ahem, purely). then i put one on last night and though "fck. this is good. who the fck is it?"

gaz (gaz), Thursday, 17 April 2003 03:17 (twenty-two years ago)

how's about *next* records to sell -
i've got an ever expanding stack of vinyl that includes
various telepopmusik rmxs, the ashly beedle vers. of
aloof 'one night stand' (which i bought ages ago
and i'm hoping is wrth some money) the fatboy/missy 12 "
(cause it's crap) a green vinyl 7 " of stereolab's ping pong,
a crummy 7 inch of a bootleg (herp albert + p.e.)
etc etc.
i'll be lucky to get 10 quid fer the lot.

YES, CAN BE THAT TOO

, Thursday, 17 April 2003 10:54 (twenty-two years ago)

Oh, I just sold a Redd Kross cd for 1p, too. I should stop pricing my auctions so low, perhaps.

Nordicskillz (Nordicskillz), Thursday, 17 April 2003 11:00 (twenty-two years ago)

>Oh, I just sold a Redd Kross cd for 1p, too. I should stop pricing my auctions so low, perhaps.

The real $$$ is in the shipping & handling.

fletrejet, Thursday, 17 April 2003 11:01 (twenty-two years ago)

I sold the pile of over-rated poo that is Forever Changes for £4.60 yesterday, inc. p&p. I think I made a profit on it as well!

Johnney B (Johnney B), Thursday, 17 April 2003 11:04 (twenty-two years ago)

The real $$$ is in the shipping & handling.

Shhh! They'll hear you!

Nordicskillz (Nordicskillz), Thursday, 17 April 2003 11:17 (twenty-two years ago)

i'm getting rid of a bunch of old IDM stuff (arovane, funkstorung, etc) because i HAVE autechre cds and don't need bland imitations of them.

also have been trying to get rid of fushitsusha's "a little longer thus" for 3 years now and everyone always flakes. and i'm not trading it in for 2 bucks credit somewhere.

your null fame (yournullfame), Thursday, 17 April 2003 11:30 (twenty-two years ago)

next records to sell?! VINYL??
no-no-no, guys, i resolutely refuse to seriously consider this right now. what with today having been a moderately frustrationless day and everything, thank you - and now to crawl under two tables? just to lick the dust off of those old rekkids scattered here, there & everywhere?... (as if anyone really would want any of them, bah!)
sorry, some other night, mayhaps.

Charles McCain (Charles McCain), Thursday, 17 April 2003 13:54 (twenty-two years ago)

gygax,
you sold wonderful rainbow???? why??? it's pretty solid....i can see selling the first one and maybe the second one...granted the noise and skronk aren't there...but mindflayer made up for that.

ddb, Thursday, 17 April 2003 14:30 (twenty-two years ago)

personally, i'd rather see them live. noise records usually leave me with a slight fraction of the euphoria i get from the live show.

(note: i have a tiny collection of music compared to the average ILM dude).
