i don't know what it is about this song, but it seems like in each version, a different part of it stands out for me...in the Cat Power one, it's "can't you see, I'm on a losing streak", in the Devo one, it's "babybabybabybabybabybabybabybaby", in the original, it's "I try and I try and I try and I try".

tUMULt records recently put out a CD of 10 or so different takes on Paint It Black... coolest part is, if you put it on without telling anyone what the concept is, noone will likely guess what the joke is unless they are listening actively.
