I´m looking for information on the wonderful Stef Petticoat.
The things i know is that she released a 7" 1980 on her own label called Blah Blah Blah. She did a 7" on the german recordlabel Zick Zack with Robert CRash.
and then she appears as the singer of the wonderful band Amy and the angels on the Making waves comp on girlfriend records.
She recorded the stuff in the Street level studio.
Amy and the angels did atleast one live gig witg The Gymslips in 1982 i think. (according to an old NME)
I need more info on this woman, did they release anytthing else. Where can i get hold of her etc etc etc. If you know anything
i would be happy.

one year passes...
Hi,
I was a friends of Stef's in London in the early 80's. I remember she lived in a squat in hackney. i used to go down there and visit and we'd muck around with guitars in the front room. I also remember Blah Blah Blah, I thought it was terrible at the time as I was a little more musically inclined and technically proficient than most of the gals around.
We used to practise in the same rooms, i think they were called street level as well. Our singer produced the Making Waves album (I am all over the back cover (LOL)
I was in a band called Androids of Mu, it was the 2nd incarnation of the band and a lot more technically proficient.
Other bands around were The Real Insects (who were very bad) Whores of Samoa (I still have a flyr for them), The Dolly Mixtures, Gymslips, Slits, Crass, Poison Girls with Vi subversa (her son came on tour with us).
i am also looking for old pics of those days, I have a few of me on stage with the Androids, but they are pretty bad.
Hope this helps.
