my two favorite songs today are by TATU and Tegan and Sara - the end is surely near

the songs being "All the Things She Said" and "Monday Monday Monday," respectively. Any thoughts? Am I just a dirty old man who's been taken in by the teenage/sexually ambiguous wonderstuff? Or do both of these songs not totally rule?

Tatu are fantastic, apart frm their Russian songs which sound well tinny. The way their images are used though is riddled with dodginess (?!?). Who are Tegan and sara? They sound like cabbage patch dolls.

tegan and sara are a canadian duo (sisters?) who just got signed by Neil Young. Their single (the only thing I've heard) is a really good song, but I fear Lilith Fair connotations. More news as I get it.

Just got signed by Neil Young...about three years ago. The rest of the new album is really great. Sort of didn't see it coming after how lame the first one was.

TATU are doing Eurovision for Russia! Or so I hear!

t.A.T.u. are *wonderful* and I maintain that everyone focuses on the "OMG TEENAGE RUSSIAN LESBIANS!" thing too much (not that they don't invite it, of course)

I for one focus too much on their lack of good old boring 60s pop songwriting values

TATU are grate but not as good as whitehouse ;-)

I surprised myself recently by enjoying a video by new jack pop bluegrass outfit Nickle Creek. I had never previously listened to anything that resembled their brand of emo/sunday school/cracker barrel/rap before. It was sweet.

Tegan and Sara are these talented twins who play rock-popish music. Really good stuff. They've actually been playing music for quite some time now, releasing 3 records which are all pretty good. In fact, only recently has MTV taken an interest in them giving them a segment on one of their shows and putting them on their website. But, what I don't get is the comparisons between them and TATU(which MTV drew). The only thing is the fact that tegan and sara are gay but it's not as if they make out with girls in front of the camera. Plus, they write their own songs, play their own instruments and are an actual band(not a publicity stunt). In any case, they're a great band and monday monday monday rocks!
TATU is good too, but for other reasons. All the thing she said is completely infectious.

I was a little disappointed when I heard "All the Things She Said".

i wasn't surprised to be disappointed when i first heard them but that song is crazy catchy in an evil, evil way. i can't shake it.

I am imagining Tegan Jovanka and Sarah Jane Smith in a lesbian pop band. Yet another childhood memory irrevocably soiled by sex (only 20 more to go!).

There's a funny recent interview with them in a magazine (I think it was Maxim's Blender), where apparently they were in a pissy mood. I love reading interviews that go sour (or, I should say, start off sour).
