What with Hail To The Thief and Think Tank, 2003 looks to be yet another classic year for radge album titles. Radge enough to get a whole new thread, dedicated solely to albums from this year.

And with that in mind, let us hereby commence with:

YOU GOTTA GO THERE TO COME BACK

It's the Stereophonics, in case you hadn't guessed. For non-2003 entries, carry on down here...

I know what the topic title says, it's about 2003 only; but please, please, could I mention Cabaret Voltaire? All their album titles were really bad, but the worst was probably "Groovy, Laid-Back and Nasty".

You Are Free (although I think it's deliberately awful, like she's going for a cut-rate Billy Jack folky biker-psych feel)

What's wrong with Think Tank?

They got rid of one useless band member but forgot another one.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Sunday, 20 April 2003 23:52 (twenty-two years ago)

American Life

What does "Pig Lib" mean? And also I'm quite sure that 1% of 1 does not = 1.

26 Mixes For Cash isn't inherently a bad name, just a bit of a cliche for Aphex and it's all a bit too KLF-ish.

Pigs have rights too, you know. It's a shame the way the patriarchy continues to subjugate pigs. I'm a pig libber.

sean carruthers has already pointed out what's sure to be the worst title of 2003 in a couple threads - "quicksilver meat dream" - but it's so bad it had to be mentioned here as well.

"elephant" seems like a dumb title to me. there aren't even any candy striped tusks on the cover. i just don't get it.

brian badword (badwords), Monday, 21 April 2003 01:49 (twenty-two years ago)

Did Simple Plan's No Pads, No Helmets...Just Balls come out this year?

Famous Athlete, Monday, 21 April 2003 03:11 (twenty-two years ago)

I'm more intrested in the origin of "radge"
(and Elephant is a god awful title)

SplendidMullet (iamamonkey), Monday, 21 April 2003 03:55 (twenty-two years ago)

St. Anger!

Evan (Evan), Monday, 21 April 2003 09:19 (twenty-two years ago)

"Less Is More" --> "Bi-Polar" --> "The Search for Teddy Swoes"

All are shite.

The best title:
"Shootenanny!"

Another thread might be bands who have given us BOTH great and terrible titles. Off the top of my head, how could Public Enemy come up with:

It Takes a Nation of Millions to Hold Us Back
Fear of a Black Planet
Yo! Bum Rush the Show

And then inflict the following on us:

Muse Sick-N-Hour Mess Age

Dadaismus, Monday, 21 April 2003 12:34 (twenty-two years ago)

"draft 7.30" is such self-parody its unreal (as are the song-titles). if it's intentional, hats off. if not, well...

weasel diesel (K1l14n), Monday, 21 April 2003 13:07 (twenty-two years ago)

Don't forget REVOLVERLUTION.
