My favourite: Bristol, 1993 or '94. A picture of John Major with his fingers in his ears and the caption "I'm not going to listen to the new Moonflowers album."

I have a Generation Terrorists subway poster autographed by the whole band. It's just not on the wall because it's enormous and I need a frame for it.

I have a small promo poster from when The Clash played in Des Moines, Iowa. It's from about the time "Cut the Crap" came out. It's pink, and refers to them as "hip-hoppers, punk rockers, show stoppers" or something like that. I like it because it appears to come from the same design school as Trapper Keepers, and the crazy sunglasses worn in "Back to the Future pt. II". I think there's a leopard print on there, also. Who would have guessed?

Enormous black & white Elvis Costello poster promoing "Trust". Just EC's head, the glasses, the downturned face. Like a big version of the one in Less Than Zero.

The large Who Sell Out poster that Sterl found for me in SF. Best movie poster is a tie between Children Of The Revolution and Rushmore.

So typical -- my humoungous subway size Cure _Disintegration_ poster. Somewhere around here I've got a signed Verve _Storm in Heaven_ poster as well, not to mention the MM Manics-painted-in-gold poster that Ally wants. Don't ask me why I found it when looking through my tax info.

I like the one I'm looking at right now. Belle and Sebastian, Manchester Town Hall. Jackson looking handsome, thoughtful, tuning his guitar in yellow light.

The legendary "Frank Zappa Crappa" poster. The EC "Less than Zero" poster. And the Kiss "Destroyer" poster. But the one I'd really want is my cousin's long-discarded Diamond Dogs poster.

Tadeusz Suchodolski, Monday, 16 July 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Ned, I already figured out why it was in your tax records. You're claiming the Manics as dependents, and if you don't do my bidding, I'm telling the IRS. Remember?

Ally, Monday, 16 July 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

It's all so clear to me now.

My best one used to be a promo flyerthing for a Circle Jerks show in Dallas, Texas. But now I've got only 3 and I like them all equally: The Fader's Outkast cover blown up as huge promo poster: "United States of Stankonia"; the poster of Peaches' crotch that came with the album; and the Ozzy Osbourne / Randy Rhoades Tribute poster, where Ozzy's holding Randy up in the air with his arms.
