I found a mix cd tracklist on the bus that a random stranger made for another random stranger. It says "I LOVE YOU, HONEY!" on one side. There are vertical lines through the o's. Here it is:

1) R. Kelly - Ignition (Remix)
2) R. Kelly - Ignition
3) R. Kelly - I Wish (this isn't a Stevie Cover, is it? if so i've never heard it)
4) R. Kelly - I Believe I Can Fly (!)
5) R. Kelly - Gotham City
6) Backstreet Boys - Drowning
7) N Sync ft. Nelly - Girlfriend
8) 50 Cent - In Da Club
9) Tupac - Changes
10) J-Lo ft. LL Cool J - All I Have
11) Eminem - Cleaning Out My Closet
12) Jagged Edge - Where the Party At
13) Selena - Dreaming of You

Finding personal mixes of complete strangers is a fantastic thing.

I should try starting out my mixes with five R. Kelly songs in a row.

slutsky (slutsky), Wednesday, 23 April 2003 02:30 (twenty-two years ago)

Everyone should.

And then follow it up with Funkadelic's "Alice In My Fantasies".

I'm going to leave a mixdisc tracklist on a bus, i think i could do a bit better...but maybe just a bit.

the only problem is putting "Igntion" AFTER the remix. shit, they go perfectly together if you put the remix after the original, duh.

Al (sitcom), Wednesday, 23 April 2003 03:05 (twenty-two years ago)

Ain't no way better to show your honey how much you love her than "Cleaning Out My Closet."

My name is Kenny (My name is Kenny), Wednesday, 23 April 2003 03:30 (twenty-two years ago)

Any mixtape with more than ONE song by the same artist (esp Rowr Kelly) gets a thumbs down.

nathalie (nathalie), Wednesday, 23 April 2003 10:54 (twenty-two years ago)

I love that remix of "Ignition". Lucky girl (assuming it's a girl), as long as she doesn't mind a guy with a small...record collection.

Nordicskillz (Nordicskillz), Wednesday, 23 April 2003 10:59 (twenty-two years ago)

what a lame tracklist tho

stevem (blueski), Wednesday, 23 April 2003 12:37 (twenty-two years ago)

But isn't it sweet, in its way?

Maybe those are all songs she really, really likes.

Ain't no way better to show your honey how much you love her than "Cleaning Out My Closet."

First thing that leapt out at me as well.

I'm going to leave a mixdisc tracklist on a bus
I'm going to leave a pamphlet about Jesus on a bus. Then I'm going to ask you if I can talk to you about it.

The mix tape I made for the girl I lost my virginity to:

1) Miles Davis, "Sivad"
2) John Lee Hooker, "Burnin' Hell"
3) Joy Division, "Heart and Soul"
4) Roxy Music, "For Your Pleasure"
5) Brian Eno, "In Dark Trees"
6) Kraftwerk, "Hall of Mirrors"
7) PiL, "Flowers of Romance"
8) PiL, "Swan Lake"
9) Killing Joke, "Change"
10) Gang of Four, "Damaged Goods"
11) Gang of Four, "If I Could Keep It for Myself"
12) Cocteau Twins, "Whales Tails"
13) David Bowie, "Subterraneans"

Ain't infatuation grand?

Scott Kos (Scott Kos), Wednesday, 23 April 2003 17:16 (twenty-two years ago)

I don't think I've ever heard the original version of Ignition, only the remix about a thousand times.

Dan I., Wednesday, 23 April 2003 17:46 (twenty-two years ago)

I'd prefer the R Kelly tape to Scott's one. The R Kelly tape is gulley. Not sure about the Backstreet Boys though.

Nik (Nik), Wednesday, 23 April 2003 18:13 (twenty-two years ago)

She must be like, 12 or something. Perhaps a present from father to daughter? (I hope)

Charles McCain (Charles McCain), Wednesday, 23 April 2003 20:03 (twenty-two years ago)

I like the inclusion of Tupac on the CD. Show you're not all badass. You can be sensitive like 'Pac...

Joseph Goss (wingwalker), Wednesday, 23 April 2003 20:30 (twenty-two years ago)

Christ, I hope its NOT a present from father to daughter containing 5 R Kelly songs (and Cleaning Out My Closet).

Jordan (Jordan), Wednesday, 23 April 2003 20:46 (twenty-two years ago)

Well, if she really likes R.Kelly...

Could be worse, could be a Serge Gainsbourg comp.

Charles McCain (Charles McCain), Wednesday, 23 April 2003 21:30 (twenty-two years ago)

That looks more like someone just taped Chicago pop radio for an hour.

nabisco (nabisco), Thursday, 24 April 2003 05:17 (twenty-two years ago)

Well, 30 minutes last year and 30 minutes last weekend.

nabisco (nabisco), Thursday, 24 April 2003 05:18 (twenty-two years ago)

*sniff* that's why it's so beautiful.
