Whatever happened to...

(This has probably been done before, sorry.)

This the thread were we share our info on artists/groups which have seemingly stopped releasing new music; where are they now? Do they record under a different name? Did they join another band? Do they live on touring? Did they quit the music business altogether? Did they die?

To begin, I have a few names whose fate remains a mystery to me:

*Eusebe (the British hip hop crew)
*Krome & Time (the hardcore/jungle producers)
*Kevin Harper (the other half of Nightmares on Wax on their first LP)

Kevin Harper? He plays for Portsmouth now but has never quite fulfilled the early promise shown at Hibernians.

Brenda and Susan from Vanity 6/Apollonia 6??? I know Apples is doing Mexican soap operas or whatever now, and the former Vanity is now preaching the Word of God... but what about those two???

James Ball (James Ball), Wednesday, 23 April 2003 13:21 (twenty-two years ago)

Sisters of Mercy (though they still insist on touring, playing "new" material no one's familiar with), Belfegore, the Wedding Present (yes, I know, Dave's doing Cinerama now, but they're a complete bore), Screaming Blue Messiahs...

jack battery-pack (Jack Battery-Pack), Wednesday, 23 April 2003 13:29 (twenty-two years ago)

I remember my first time in a gay bar in the 80s (Heaven).... I met Jimmy the Hoover's Derek Dunbar, who was then working in World's End, Vivienne Westwood's shop on the Kings Road.
Don't think his boyf was too pleased.

Dub Sex members became some band called Dumb if I recall right. Some members of King of The Slums did a single under the name Monomania that came out on the Uglyman label, it wasn't Charles the singer though.

What happned to Sarah Bleach out of Comet Gain/Velocette is she still doing music?

stevem (blueski), Wednesday, 23 April 2003 19:51 (twenty-two years ago)

Voss has apparently made the second Campag album - according to Playlouder, it pisses all over the first one.

heywood jablomi (heywood), Wednesday, 23 April 2003 22:24 (twenty-two years ago)

heheh WBS I read the same thing about Pete Voss. I don't think it'd be very difficult to make a better record than the Campag album.

What happned to Sarah Bleach out of Comet Gain/Velocette is she still doing music?

Wasn't she in the Action Time for a bit? I don't know if they're still going. Some of Velocette turned up in the good-but-not-quite-as-good Kicker.

five years pass...

What is UK rapper Blak Twang doing these days? I was listening to his stuff the other day, and it still sounded pretty good... But it seems he hasn't released anything since 2008, and his official website has been replaced a Japanese blog or something.

Tuomas, Thursday, 20 June 2013 11:11 (twelve years ago)

six years pass...

Still curious about Blak Twang... Since my last post he's released one EP, but that was in 2015, and apparently nothing since then? I really liked him in the early '00s, seems like with the rise of UK rap he was poised for success too, but maybe his style was too traditional/nineties NY in the grime era? It's too bad, in terms of lyrics and flow he's among the best UK rappers I've ever heard.
