i quite agree, my site is a very poor shadow of luke's.ive been desperatly trying to copy luke's moves...but i just dont have his panache.
as i say, yeah my stuff was much better in the old days, the early work, its basically really boring now. pretty hollow and uninspired.

If you do a blog i guess you have to do your own thing...you know stand firm, eyes ahead and all that.............but having friends online is exiting, like having a crew (for saddos), and its quite nice to get caught up in other peoples orbit sometimes.
ILM is really scary. Love you all though.

Ha ha and sometimes I wish I was interesting enough to bite styles more regularly or purposefully. Biting blog styles is only really feasible in the first year of blogging maybe, that inital flush of enthusiasm.

I should note that my comments above make it look like I was agreeing that Matthew bites Luka's style - but actually I can't see the resemblance at all (Heronbone isn't nearly as aggressive for one! But seriously TWANBOC is the one in my top ten visit list).
What is good about the blogging world at the mo' is that everyone knows there's a million 'n' one blogs out there so the bloggers that aspire to anything know they've got to develop an in-house style. You don't remember the blog if you don't remember its "voice". It takes a lot of effort to establish a voice though (and that includes accumulating shards of other voices into something distinct and original) and I wish I put more effort into it myself.
