Anyone ever been - any good? (I fail to see how festival with decent music nearly on a beach in Barcelona can be anything but good!)

Having a bit of trouble finding out about tickets tho - I found somewhere saying they cost €93 for the weekend, but not where u can buy them from or if this includes accomidation, etc...)

I went in (I think) 1996. The best festival ever! Balmy nights dancing like a maniac to DJ Food (or rather Strictly Kev) on the grass outside a little open-sided tent, on top of a hill overlooking the city, then wandering in to see Jeff Mills pulverising it in another big tent. And the daytime stuff was great. And barcelona is a brilliant place... ah, the memories... so, yes, you should go.

I went last year and it was fantastic. Even if only a third of the line up appeals, I would go. It is extremely well organised.

visit www.sonar.es for links to BBVA tickets who you have to book tickets from. Note that this year one of the nights is Herbert only and this requires a separate ticket.

You have to sort out your own accomodation.

I'm still debating about going this year as some of friends can't afford it. But its v. tempting.

its good but anythin to do with the beach is nothing to do with sonar- orwasnt lat year at any rate. the night things were held in this weird industrial complex-cum-aircraft hangar o the outskirts of town. line up is better this yer. for the price you wont get anything better
