Rank and File

you know, I liked these records when they came out, and when I hadn't heard much actual country music. Inspired by their mention here a while back, I pulled out my old vinyl copies, and...was not as impressed. The Kinman's decent singers, the band plays reasonable country pop, but the lyrics are mostly pretty lame. Especially the song "rank & file". Bands with theme songs? usually embarrassing. But I did like listening to "coyote", again. Anyone heard much of The Kinman's later group, Blackbird? Sounds like it would be interesting.
