Arab Strap - Monday At The Hug and Pint

I was listening to this as I drove around today, and it's really good, especially the first track.

But:
Now that I have three of their albums, I feel that Arab Strap needs to cut back on the acoustic, somewhat-draggy numbers, and do more of the upbeat (er... musically) songs. The others tend to blend together to my ear.

The first track is spectacularly great, unsure about most of the rest. Agree that they're at their best when at their musically upbeat-est (The Shy Retirer, First Big Weekend, Turbulence remix), but they don't seem to think so, really. Hey ho.

milo, did you catch the show at Trees (or was it Gypsy?) (you are in the d/fw area, am i right?) I missed it. I did see em @ SXSW a few years back though, and it was v good.

No, I didn't find out until the next night. And I missed the Ex-Models in Denton, that was a couple of weeks ago. Dammit dammit dammit.
