yay! I get to post again, though I'll probably make a different list this time:

1. Devils Island
2. Wake Up Dead'
3. Take No Prisoners
4. Peace Sells
5. Symphony of Destruction
6. Good Mourning/Black Friday
7. Hangar 18
8. These Boots
9. Dawn Patrol
10. Rust In Peace...Polaris

The best Megadeth album is "peace sells...but who's buying?".

Angry Again
Take No Prisoners
Last Rites/Loved to Death
Symphony Of Destruction
Hangar 18
Skull Beneath The Skin
Killing Is My Business...And Business Is Good
The Conjuring
Devils Island
Wake Up Dead

Best album Rust In Peace, best song Angry Again. Probably the only speedmetal band where a later, more technical/cleaner album is better than the rawer & faster older work, although the first two albums are amazing as well.

there was a split 7" with Less Than Jake (with no label listing; on splotchy purple/white vinyl) that came out a few years ago with a song called "The Disintegrators" on it that I happened across completely by accident, and it was the best Megadeth song I'd heard since the days of "Peace Sells." Amazing song that belongs on any Megadeth POX.

also, Devils Island live ca. '87, utterly devastating

the production on the original 'killing is my business...' was so offputting that i never used to be able to appreciate the songs. thankfully, the remastering revealed the quality of the musicianship to me.

one month passes...

np: 'into the lungs of hell'
damn this instrumental could be scorching if the production didn't sound so canned
