you can always rely on portalofevil.com as being a source of completely insane websites.

...not that there's anything the least bit insane about this one, which has been added recently: http://www.michaelkelly.fsnet.co.uk/karl.htm

if you check out his 'links of interest' you'll find his attempt to build an archive which will include the following:
Pop Stars Slash:
Alvin Stardust/Kenny Rogers
Chas/Dave
Demis Roussos/Britney Spears
Emerson/Lake/Palmer
Kiki Dee/Kajagoogoo
Renee/Renata
Roy Orbison/Britney Spears
Roy Orbison/Celine Dion
Roy Orbison/Tatu
Roy Orbison/Take That

This was featured in The Guardian... it is truly scary.

Dom Passantino (Dom Passantino), Sunday, 27 April 2003 13:18 (twenty-two years ago)

wow...was the guardian piece devoted to this website in particular, or did it take a more general look at net-weirdness?

Dallas Yertle (Dallas Yertle), Sunday, 27 April 2003 13:23 (twenty-two years ago)

It was in the "Diary" section, actually. It's their website of the month.

Upon reading the whole site, it's a shame to find this is a parody. The voice was reminiscent of a kinda sexual-Geir.

"The voice was reminiscent of a kinda sexual-Geir."

heh-heh...

so it is in fact merely a parody of slash fiction? wow. some or all of it? i'm confused, because i've seen similarly insane things that were done in earnest...and many of the things listed in the guy's archives are british things that i'm not actually familiar with...living in the states and all...

I think the "desired" slash fiction thing gives it away... how many Northern Europeans know who Julie Burchill or Kirsty Wark are?

Ever since fanfiction.net stop publishing music slash, the world has been a sorrier place. I mean, System of a Down slash? Jeez...

Fandomination never quite filled that void, did it?

Daniel_Rf (Daniel_Rf), Sunday, 27 April 2003 23:45 (twenty-two years ago)

two weeks pass...
so it is in fact merely a parody of slash fiction? wow. some or all of it? i'm confused, because i've seen similarly insane things that were done in earnest...

...and as anyone familiar with slash fiction would know, many of the stranger pairings are done on dares or as jokes.

this is excellent.

four years pass...

Now you may read a novel of Roy Orbison in Clingfilm

wau
