Hi I've been using kazaa, for nearly a year, ever since they shut down audiogalaxy as a p2p,but I miss it very much,no other file sharing program comes close,or does it?that interface was the bomb, any suggestion other than the mainstream?

Soulseek x 3. Nothing comes close. It doesn't quite have the massive breadth of Audiogalaxy, but it is better in other respects in particular the community feel. Once you've got Soulseek join the ILM room and peruse fellow ILXor's files by right clicking people's names and selecting 'browse users files.' Make sure you stay in the ILM room and we can see yours too!

The cool thing about AG groups was that you could stuff the queues of fellow group members...slsk really should have something like that!

Sounds like a good idea. Why don't you put it in the feature request thread in the Soulseek forum and see if they consider implimenting it.

yeah slsk seems like a pretty rotten piece of software, it's always creating problems on my computer. but it does have the best selection of mp3s

It's not without its bugs, and they vary enormously between machines. But you must remember two things, firstly it is a program written by just one guy. Secondly content is king and no other p2p comes close to the range of rare music available on Soulseek. The close-knit community feeling is also something which no other current p2p even comes close to either.

soulseek is all about right-clicking: "download containing folder" makes it better than any other p2p ever.
