acapella techno-metal

I had this dream last night where me and Seth Green were nodding in agreement that Disturbed rocked and then watch a video of theirs. Only it wasn't the actual, really shitty band known as Disturbed. It was this group that looked more like Powerman 5000 and their video consisted of computer-generated versions of their heads moving around the screen as they each made funny sounds with their voices (like "deeeee" "BOW BOW!" "deeeee" "BOW BOW!" "yoyoyoyoyoyo!!") over a techno beat, and everything was really distorted. Me and Seth thought it was GREAT (and for some reason Ashton Kutcher was also there, getting fawned over by my mother). It sounded kind of like Bobby McFerrin being remixed by Trent Reznor. The reason I thought this band was called Disturbed or Disturbhead is probably because of the opening of "Down With The Sickness" (ooohwa-a-a-a!) is their only good moment, plus Mushroomhead's single had some fun vocal sounds.

So anyhow, the question is, is there any group out their that actually sounds like this? Or am I doomed to never find anything that sounds like doowop run through a fuzzbox?

Spiralmouth, maybe?

There are some interesting vocal bands out there, although I don't know how close most of 'em are to doo-wop.

"jehovah" by ZUBI ZUVA (tatsuya yoshida from ruins' acapella outfit) comes damned close. (it's on Tzadik). also nomeansno's acapella cover version of the dead kennedys' "forward to death".

Oooh! I love this - like if you're asleep or half-awake or stoned and walking home and you create a whole new style of music in your head.
