'Right Tools for the Job' really rocks and in my opinion should've been the third single. It has a very can do, upbeat feel.
'What Can I Be' is one of the two most most grating songs on the album, sung by Spud the scarecrow, who has a voice that sounds like it's perpetually breaking. Listen closely, however, eg on headphones, and you can hear some deftly placed atospheric sound effects - crows and the like. The other Spud song, 'Superspud' takes us to Spud's fantasy world where he is the best crow scarer in the world.
'Blond Haired Girl in a Hardhat' is of course Wendy's song. She has an attractive, slightly warbling singing coice that is perfect for this hoe-down style easy listener. It contains the legendary chorus lyric: "I'm a blonde haired girl in a hard hat / Don't ry to make a monkey out of me".
