arco: coming to terms

Biggest question is, when was this released? We only received it last month in Canada.

I like the album, but there's something missing. It's like the melody reaches 3/4 on the scale; it's melodic but just not quite there. It catches my attention and I'm ready to dive into it, but it just lacks something to reel me in completely. Solid nonetheless. What about you guys? How big/small are they in the UK?

It was released last fall in the UK on dreamy records. I first got into Arco via their excellent contribution to the Dreamy 'Head in the Clouds' comp, namely the song 20,000 feet, which I think is perfect. On the whole I find Coming To Terms very sad, and the only criticism I've heard is that it's too depressing, or sounds a little bit too Radioheady in the melodies. I think it's refreshingly somber.

How small? Not the smallest, but small. Good reviews in the press, an occasional gig. Very very nice blokes.

Dreamy, is it? Hm...I'll be keeping that in mind.

I'll be crucified for this comment but the montgolfier brothers has that something missing in arco. I hear ya, Alex, picked it up in a charity shop and something is missing...arrangements? Dunno..

Arco will be the backing band for Graham when he plays Strange Fruit on July 26th. And they're absolutely lovely - very shy on stage and quite gorgeous.

*Our* Graham?

Wait, is Arco related to Cody, or am I hallucinating that? Cause I really really liked the Cody CD.

I have seen Arco twice. My mistake was giving them a second chance.

When someone turned to me and whispered "they sound like the quiet bits in Marillion songs" I understood what he meant.
