I just heard that theirs a popstar trying to break into the US market who has the unfortunate name of Waffa Bin Laden...and, yes, she is directly related to the other Bin Laden.
I suspect that she wont even sell as well as Fab Morvan's solo records.
Can anyone think up an even more tragic stab at a career in music?

I get the impression from the news story she's already semi-famous in the non-english-speaking world. It would be like Madonna changing her name to...oh, I dunno P.Donna or somesuch.

I believe Adolf Hofner (German-inflected Western swing bandleader from Texas) temporarily changed his name to Albert or some such without any significant damage to his career. Waffa Benjamin sounds good.
