Free jazz interpretations of Funkadelic (and Sun Ra) by Spaceways Incorporated.
Is this a good idea? Has anyone heard it?
It features Ken Vandermark ,Hamid Drake & Nate McBride.
Their 2nd album of original compositions was produced by Bob Weston of Shellac.
Who else should have their material reworked (by any band in any genre)?

Wesley Willis deserves a tribute album from all those fuckin' screamo bands that ripped off his schtick

the best tribute to a band is to not make them suffere the indignity of a tribute album (for in most cases, tribute albums are the worst thing ever).

There's another Sun Ra tribute album which is actually pretty good, Wavelength Infinity. It's got a bunch of different people on it, like Eugene Chadbourne, Elliott Sharp, and Graham Connah.

Is that Killing Joke, Alex? hmm How about a double cd. Killing Joke Cover Funkadelic and on the 2nd cd George Clinton &parliament-funkadelic(I think thats what theyre billed as these days)cover funkadelic. Nah i cant see that working.

But 2 bands covering each other could be interesting.
Any ideas who could take part in this?
