The Rogers Sisters are much better.

I like them, but their "duets" (quartets?) with Bing Crosby get a little sickly-sweet after a while.

I love all the Yiddish-inspired material they did. Reminds me of my grandmother.

The Boswell Sisters are better of course . . . well it's apples and oranges really.

"Beat Me Daddy, Eight to the Bar" - i think eight-to-the-bar is short-hand for swing time, like everything is in eighth notes and super-fast for extra-wiggly dance techniques

We talking about the Twin Cities girls? There's a musical about them coming in July to the American History Theatre in St. Paul.

six months pass...
Yes, The Boswell Sisters are better, and Mcguire Sisters too. I like the Mcguire Sister's versions of some of those R&B songs better than Moonglows or Spaniels.

i used to think they were beautiful every time they popped up on abbot and costello meet the mummy or the werewolf or the navy or whatever. then the two guys would tap dance while mopping. good times.

The Andrews Sisters 0\/\/n. I found a great, yet flawed, compilation for $3 USD down in Mexico.
