On My Radio (3) : Don't Look Down

Ha! This is bonkers. From CD 2 of Do The Pop I give you 'Don't Look Down' by Decline of the Reptiles. It's too fast. Way too fast. And it has too many hooks, and one of those 'pre-chorus choruses' like Bon Jovi do, except this one's over before it begins and you wonder if it really existed.....no...QUICK THERE IT GOES AGAIN!! The singers sounds like he's being strangled or at least struggling for air. Actually this is herculean, impossible, silly and great. The liner notes say that they had 'pop smarts'. They did too - if only more rock popped and fizzed like this! I'd love to know more about this lot. They sound, like a lot of the 80's Oz-rock lot, like they lived and slept in leather jackets and ate far too much fried food - glorius!
