That's Not My Visage Song!

So SeanSF and I were discussing that Mantronix/Soul Jazz comp That's My Beat and he tells me that the song labeled as Visage's "Pleasure Boys" is not Visage's "Pleasure Boys" (which he remembers hearing as a young lad) but indeed something else (which may or not be by Visage). Is this true? What is the song then and who recorded it?

ha ha this is awesome; for years i thought "cosmic music" by coltrane was in fact max roach and m'boom, which i had had taped over the coltrane rekkid but neglected to label as such; i actually got into an argument based on my confusion—with the person who owned the m'boom CD and at whose house i taped over the coltrane rekkid in the first place!!

ha - that is the best track on the album too (b-line!!!), so if anyone does know that'd be good...

Revive! I'm also curious as to what this song is - it definetly isn't Visage.

(Similar mistake was made on Basement Jaxx's rooty.. they credited the "Where's Your Head At" sample to Numan's "Metal", when it actually was "M.E."..)

seven years pass...

Y'all need to go back to DJ school. This IS Pleasure Boys by Visage, albeit a fortified mix of a remix. The track comes from this 12 incher and has a bunch of Mantronix's synth-fuckery on the top but it's the same track.

"Bitter Sweet Symphony" didn't sound much like "The Last Time" either. Unless you were familiar with Andrew Loog Oldham's string version.
