it's a good title, huh

i thought i started this thread while drunk before clicking on it

it's very good, but a little samey...i do own plenty of neo-dub-house-electro-slowly-eddying stuff already

and nothing really reaches the heights of "rocket #3"..but that is one of man's more beautiful creations...maybe "#5"

i would like to hear thoughts on this, too...i have the last italic comp and thought most of it was only okay (a rocket in dub #3 notwithstanding). antonelli electr's stuff is usually well worth a listen though. i would like to hear that new pop-up cd, too.

but that is one of man's more beautiful creations

indeed it is!

Pretty much what Jess said. It's convenient for those who haven't bought/downloaded the 12"s. #3 was one of my favorite singles last year.

I could do without the announcements at the beginning of each track.

Is it worthwhile for those who already have the Rocket In Dub tracks on Dancer.

Also can we use this thread to talk about how surprisingly great that Borneo & Sporenburg album is? "Boys In Shorts"!!!

Tim Finney (Tim Finney), Sunday, 22 June 2003 14:06 (twenty-two years ago)

I wouldn't put it at the top of yr list if I were you, Tim. The ones on Dancer are the only crucial ones.

"Boys in Shorts" is great!! There's a nine-minute version of it on the Ladomat 100 comp.

Andy K (Andy K), Sunday, 22 June 2003 19:22 (twenty-two years ago)

Everything about "Boys in Shorts" is classic-classic-classic! Pastoral shuffletech! (I didn't realise how urgent and key this sub-sub-sub-genre was!) The inspired title (especially combined w/ the vaguely homoerotic cover art!)!

Also their attempt at 2-step is surprisingly good too.

(more info on the Borneo & Sporenburg plz! what label? & um what exactly is Dancer?)

Ess Kay (esskay), Monday, 23 June 2003 08:58 (twenty-two years ago)

borneo and sporenburg

search this is music added to my day. there's a wmf records mix that has this tune in it.

dancer is an italic records comp which has a few a rocket in dub tracks on it.

i would recommend glowing glisses on pokerflat in addition to b&s.
