i have to work a 12-hour shift at the stimulants table in my school's library lobby. my duty is to dispense free legal stimulants (coffee, red bull, maté) to the toiling masses. i need an appropriate mix for this endeavour; already planned to be on it are the fall's "totally wired," "white light/white heat"(the song), "livin on a prayer"(songs of hope/perseverance like this are also appropriate, e.g., eye of the tiger). thanks!

I don't know if this qualifies, but Acen's "Close Your Eyes" is a stimulant-based experience if there ever was one.

"Excorcism" by Killing Joke

Rise from my unconscious let it rise
Get it out get it out get it out

Behind the illusion of reality
Are forces that speak to me
We will draw them out
We will cast them out

Drink wines that foam
Watch the ugliness rise
Watch it bubble to the surface
Let it out let it rise

All the hate all the hate
I saw you
You just wanted to take a razor and cut his face until it bled
You wanted to inflict
I saw the barbed hooks penetrate deep into the side of his flesh

Get it out

Let it rise
Let it rise let it bubble to the surface

Get it out

All desires that are undeclared
All resentments [their mockeries will show]
Bulging eyes the animal soul begins to rise
Let it out

Get it out

Let it rise - let the images rise
Let it rise - let it bubble to the surface
Get it out - get it out - get it out now
Let it rise to the surface - let it rise - let it rise - guilt

All your guilt and the pain and the hurt you cause
All the tears in the child's face
All resentment undeclared
Let it rise
Let it rise let it bubble to the surface

Clean it up - clean it up
Cover yourself with water
Wash it away, that's right, wash it away
Wash it all away, wash away the tears

nickalicious (nickalicious), Friday, 9 May 2003 14:50 (twenty-two years ago)

Tones on Tail's "Go" seems kinda like a stimulated bit of thing...

The only coffee song I can think of is at the end of Killdozer's "The Rub"...

I like coffee
It likes me
sumpn sumpn what's this shit you're giving me
I'd rather drink from the dick of a goat
I tell you motherfuckers that's all she wrote
I like coffee
It likes me
A cup a cup a cup a cup of coffee

..Could you play that in the library?

can think of loads of wired-sounding songs, but not necessarily all to do with stimulants. more that they act as stimulants, regardless of titles and/or lyrical content. some friends and i in fact put together a CD swap with a "caffeine" theme awhile ago, in which some stuff i listed above featured...

janni (janni), Friday, 9 May 2003 18:41 (twenty-two years ago)
