I'm fascinated by this word.

"Goom-bah"

I'm transfixed. So much that I want to embody this word.

Who here is an ILX goomba?

(It would only be my luck that this word may turn out to be a racial slur that I don't know of (kinda paranoid today, apologies), and if it is the case, moderators are more than welcome to delete this thread as necessary)

there's a DJ in NYC called "goomba johnny." so i don't think that if it's at all derogatory, then it can't be all that derogatory if a guy willingly calls himself "goomba."

but i'll defer to any italian-americans re this topic.

Uh, I'm half-italian, but I don't mind the word at all (or any other italian slur: guido, wop, etc).

It's kind of a stupid thing to be transfixed by tho.
