MTV has extended Carson Daly's contract for an extra 2 years.

(In other words, the animatronic Carson 3.1, Service Patch .99 is out! Now we can all get one and use it for Tae Bo sparring.)

I think this proves my theory that MTV is now a psychological experiment in how much they can anger and alienate people. I suspect this also means that Kennedy and Jesse Camp might be brought back to "add character" after the "personality draining field" that Carson Daly emits finally sucks the rest of the MTV offices completely dry.

I dunno, people seem to like him. I hear the ladies think he's cute.

Jordan (Jordan), Tuesday, 13 May 2003 01:16 (twenty-two years ago)

and the teeny boppers think he's fun -- and you can't be against fun.

jack cole (jackcole), Tuesday, 13 May 2003 01:18 (twenty-two years ago)

if Carson Daly is "fun", I'd hate to see your idea of "pain"

Lord Custos Epsilon (Lord Custos Epsilon), Tuesday, 13 May 2003 01:19 (twenty-two years ago)

he has the personality of wallpaper paste, and he does Casey Kasems job without either of Kasem's greatest talents:
a) A warm and slightly strange voice.
b) batarangs.

You're not MTV's target audience, Custos. Let's see what my Britney-listening, not-quite-grown-out-of-their-teenybopper-phase friends Emily and Amanda have to say about Carson:

EMILY: Ugh! I hate Carson! He's so annoying!
AMANDA: Omigod, I know! He's always acting like he's so hot, I really don't see what ANYONE sees in him.
EMILY: Yeah, he is so not hot!
AMANDA: Not at all. I'm really, really sick of him.

Hmmm. Looks like you may have something there, Custos.

I'm tellin' you...Jesse Camp and Kennedy are right around the corner, ready for their second chance at stardumb.

Lord Custos Epsilon (Lord Custos Epsilon), Tuesday, 13 May 2003 01:23 (twenty-two years ago)

(just had a horrifying thought...what if those two porked and had kids. Brrrr.)

Lord Custos Epsilon (Lord Custos Epsilon), Tuesday, 13 May 2003 01:23 (twenty-two years ago)

kennedy's talk show was the best thing ever on mtv

keith (keithmcl), Tuesday, 13 May 2003 01:38 (twenty-two years ago)

i don't know if i'm a "lady", but i'm definitely a straight female, and i don't think carson's much to look at.
--my 2 cents

Carson Daily was great playing the murderous psychopathic Carson in Josie and the Pussycats.

Ally (mlescaut), Tuesday, 13 May 2003 17:05 (twenty-two years ago)

He was also pretty good in that Chapelle Show skit about TRL in the future (& the Magic Camera) (& Chapelle tapping some octogenarian ass).

David R. (popshots75`), Tuesday, 13 May 2003 17:13 (twenty-two years ago)

Ally...who sez he was playin'?

Lord Custos Epsilon (Lord Custos Epsilon), Tuesday, 13 May 2003 17:27 (twenty-two years ago)

No one. In fact, I think he's incapable of playin'.

Ally (mlescaut), Tuesday, 13 May 2003 17:31 (twenty-two years ago)

Carson Daly: Playin' Hayta.

Lord Custos Epsilon (Lord Custos Epsilon), Tuesday, 13 May 2003 17:42 (twenty-two years ago)

carson daly=fun=youth=future, carson daly=future.

jack cole (jackcole), Tuesday, 13 May 2003 17:52 (twenty-two years ago)

If he's the future, then we are all doomed.

Lord Custos Epsilon (Lord Custos Epsilon), Tuesday, 13 May 2003 18:24 (twenty-two years ago)

uh, I thought I posted something to this thread? Am I insane or did it disappear?

hstencil, Tuesday, 13 May 2003 18:26 (twenty-two years ago)

one year passes...
I suspect insane.

Lord Custos Epsilon (Lord Custos Epsilon), Tuesday, 4 January 2005 00:24 (twenty-one years ago)

Josie and the Pussycats is a criminally underrated movie. I watched it again the other day and laughed my ass off.
