RFI - early 90's acousticy indie chart hit

I've got this song going round and round my head - I'm sure it was a minor chart hit in the UK during the early 90's but I'll be buggered if i can remember who did it or what the song's called. The lyrics go:

"There was acid on the radio
acid in the rain
acid on the radio
acid in the rain"

...something else goes here, then:

"There was love, love, love, love, love
Everyone could see that there was
Lo-oo-oove
Love all over me"

So, who did it? Does anyone know?

It was 1989 by the way. My first summer job...they had the radio on...all the time.... NO ESCAPE.....
