I've had the song "Real Hymn" by Modern Eon on mine since I joined about a year ago. It's the only song I'm missing from Fiction Tales. Alas, everyone else sharing Modern Eon tracks is missing that one, too. I've had no luck with Summer Hits Beaches and Canyons album, either.

Most of my list is devoted to forthcoming releases: Clientele, Dusty Trails, Luomo, B.R.M.C. (ahem, for a friend).

& you?

Karel Fialka - "The Eyes Have It"
It's some random synthpop track that no one seems to have. I did a 3hr synthpop radio show and played it from a record I have but I'm making a comp and need it. The only person with it has a line of like 2095938759732 and only 1 DL slot open. Bastard!

dsp wanker (dsp wanker), Sunday, 18 May 2003 04:11 (twenty-two years ago)

Ginger Baker, Stratavarious. I owned this on LP ages ago and sold it, mostly because I had no idea who this special guest appearance Fela Kuti character was.

Nate Patrin (Nate Patrin), Sunday, 18 May 2003 04:34 (twenty-two years ago)

six months pass...
The David Candy LP must be completely obscure, even though I could buy it on Insound for $14 if I wasn't poor.

Sarah Pedal (call mr. lee), Friday, 21 November 2003 00:14 (twenty-two years ago)

Smog - Macrame Gunplay and A Table Setting. Mostly for completist's sake.

D.J. Anderson, Friday, 21 November 2003 00:39 (twenty-two years ago)

Six months later and Stratavarious is still in queue purgatory. Pfah.

I'm also looking for Funk Factory's 1976 s/t album, though searching for "funk factory" in itself brings 30 instances of "Rien Ne Va Plus" from various "Breaks and Beats" comps and 5 instances of Wilson Pickett. One of the other lesser-known tracks on that album is "Watusi Dance" so I've just searched for that in the hopes that the rest will follow.

Also: Marvin Hamlisch's score for "Take the Money and Run", Peter Thomas Sound Orchestra's Discoland and the newish Roma Violenta Rare compilation.

Ben Boyer (Ben Boyer), Friday, 21 November 2003 01:13 (twenty-two years ago)

I'll take you up on that, Ben. How's 'bout a trade? What might I have that you'd want?

A Table Setting and Macrame Gunplay are two of Smog's early self-released cassette tapes from '90 and '88 respectively, along with Cow ('89) and Tired Tape Machine (90). Cow is on the Strayed CDEP, and I found Tired Tape Machine on Soulseek and am sharing it, but in the past 9 months I've never seen either of the aforementioned two available. I'm pretty sure they're more extremely lo-fi songs in the vein of Sewn to the Sky and Forgotten Foundation.

D.J. Anderson, Friday, 21 November 2003 11:45 (twenty-two years ago)

john cage- ryoanji. no one seems to fucking have this.

Julio Desouza (jdesouza), Friday, 21 November 2003 11:47 (twenty-two years ago)

Mostly B-sides of singles that have only been UK-released.

edward o (edwardo), Friday, 21 November 2003 11:56 (twenty-two years ago)

the new air album. the funny thing is it keeps popping up, but people have just got "lost in kyoto" the track from the lost in translation soundtrack and have put it in a folder called "Walkie Talkie" (the name of the new album, to be released sometime 2004) in readiness for the rest of it.

I find this kind of strange and annoying as it makes my wishlist pop up every so often and I get excited only to find yet another person has done this.

philius fogg, Friday, 21 November 2003 12:10 (twenty-two years ago)

sorry I mean Talkie Walkie

philius fogg, Friday, 21 November 2003 12:12 (twenty-two years ago)

five years pass...

Several Reynols items that seem to be a real bitch to find.

ImprovSpirit, Friday, 30 April 2010 20:19 (fifteen years ago)

Which ones?

drinkin a carton of peace juice (GOTT PUNCH II HAWKWINDZ), Friday, 30 April 2010 21:10 (fifteen years ago)

I've run across several, most of which appear to be cassettes:

Live in Bloomington
Lo Cabachua lo Come de la Conejo
Gascom Lantua 1956
Keep the Sansevieria Flying 3way
Mica Hermas Madana
Dohdo Vehdohdo Rula
Roto Chivas 268
Lo Pollo de lo Vivos/Homenaje a Washington Westming [yes, their spelling...]

Any ideas about these?

ImprovSpirit, Saturday, 1 May 2010 01:44 (fifteen years ago)

Films by Nobuhiko Obayashi other than "House" or "The Girl Who Leapt Through Time". Really, I want to get "The Aimed School". If anyone has a copy, please PM!
