Ashanti's debut was one of my fave albums last year, and one I still play a lot: I'm amazed why more people don't like it, it's a whole CD (or rather the first 12 or so tracks) of the smoothest Irv Gotti shit! So lovely and fine that I don't mind her vocal shortcomings at all.

So, I was totally excited when I discovered she's got a new single out, and... guess what? It sucks. It's R&B album filler tripe, how could she do this to me?!? What a drag.

Anyone else heard it?

If the music was lovelier and finer I wouldn't mind her vocal shortcomings, either. As it stands, she's ludicrous and horrid.
