OK, everytime you hear about MP3s these days it's "blah blah Napster" this and "blah blah Napster" that!!!! Which no doubt must be music to the ears of Messers Napster and Bertlesmann, who about to start charging for the service, and need as much positive publicity as they can get!!!
But what about the alternatives to Napster!!??! (eg Gnutella, OpenNap, etc.) Personally, my fave Nap alternative at the mo is AudioGalaxy, which has a rather nice interface, and some neat features, not least of which they actually read the flippin ID3 tags, meaning you don't have to rely on guessing the content from crap filenames like "music/BRITNE~1.MP3
"!!!! Also, the results get sorted into artists and similar files are grouped together, making it a hell of a lot easier to find specific tracks or artists... (eg I managed to find an ancient 808 State track from their deleted debut album "Newbuild"!!!!)
Anyway, that's me!!! How about you folks?!?! Have you found any alternatives coming up to seriously rival Bert and Nappy?!?!?
