In the past they've covered Neil Young, Candlewick Green and the Field Mice, but the last two albums had no cover versions. So, assuming you had any influence over Wiggs, Stanley and Cracknell, what cover version would you make them do?

I have a feeling they would do a passable 'Love to Love You'.

"Tumbling Dice". How about that? I can imagine SC softly singing "You can be my partner in crime" quite effectively.

'Closer' ~ Nine Inch Nails. 'Dancing Queen' ~ ABBA. 'Into the Groove' ~ Madonna. 'The Mercy Seat' ~ Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds.

Was there not a rumour doing the rounds at some point that they were going to cover Bowie's 'Absolute Beginners'. Now that I would love to hear.

I could see them doing a lovely job of Absolute Beginners. I suspect that it might be considered too old-school St. Etienne for them to cover now -- but it would be nice if they would.
