Well? Setanta recently did a compilation of song poems - you know the ones in the back of comic book ads - "set your poem to music and make alot of money" - does anyone know a really good article, general information or something/anything on same?

There's an informative chapter in 'Songs in the Key of Z'.

WARNING: BE VERY CAREFUL IF YOU FOLLOW THE ABOVE ASPMA.COM link, specifically avoid clicking on the mp3s button on the website, 'cos I did just that and 'something' instantaneously downloaded and I subsequently had to write a new firwall rule to stop being pestered by a request to access my computer etc. (Sorry andrew m., but there it is).

two weeks pass...
I already posted this elsewhere, but:

As I think one or two people on this board are aware, visiting a link on this thread: Song Poems: RFI turned out to be a disaster for my computer, which was imediately infected by a Backdoor.Apdoor.bI?m trojan horse (jfhwlsg.exe) and a series of glossalalia trogan proxies
(snip)
The American Song Archives is one such rogue site

Forwarding Burden, I and many of my friends have been to the ASPMA site at least a hundred times, including that page, and have _never_ had a problem. I took a look at the source code for the page, too, and don't see anything that could be an exploit.

Are you sure the timing wasn't just a coincidence? That site is a very, very popular one, and I'm on a couple mailing lists that discuss song-poems -- I'm positive that someone would've said something by now were there a problem, and Phil Milstein is a "known figure" in the outsider music community: I'd be very surprised if he's planting trojans on websites. (Have you tried emailing him? It's possible that his site was hacked.)

I've gone there a number of times, too ("Mama Wears The Pants" and "Beat Of The Traps" are not to be missed) and I haven't gotten any trojans. In fact, I just went there and nothing happened.
