"Pump This Universe", "Rushin'" and "Everybody's Pumpin'" = classics (actually, you could say that about most of his pre-1995 material). His MTV tracks = shite.

Up to Seven Ways, fine.
After? Trance lite nonsense with shit vocals.

The early stuff is great (Visions Of Shiva, his remix for Humate Love Stimulation), it's a bit patchy later on. Some great remixes (Binary Finary!) and singles (Avenue) but a lot of fairly boring stuff too, and We Are Alive is probably best forgotten. He hasn't released much in the last three years, and the new single Nothing But You is remarkably shite - it's a bit odd to accuse him of using "shit vocals", when most of his tracks are instrumentals though. The best thing about his productions is that most of them still have the old Eye-Q vibe shining through in one way or another, the worst thing is that they're all a bit clinical.

As a DJ he still delivers the goods though, I've seen him many times over the last ten years and he never disappoints. So Paul van Dyk the DJ: classic, Paul van Dyk the producer: occasionally classic.

twenty years pass...

Just saw Dave Clarke had shared this post on FB. Had no idea it had even happened and sounds absolutely horrific

Hi all, Paul here.

Today I am especially grateful to still be alive as I reflect on human decency, character and justice.

As you may remember, on the 29th of February 2016 I almost lost my life while performing at Armin van Buuren’ s A State of Trance Utrecht festival that… pic.twitter.com/uvo31a3f0H
