i heard one of these songs on the radio about a year ago and was looking for it forever afterwards. it was, as it's name says, a freaked out psychedelic percussion jam. it reminded me of newer boredoms. after a year of forgetting what it really sounded like, it's in the stores for import prices (20-25$). should i get it?

it's an interesting curio, if you're a collector of the weird stuff it's good to have on the shelf. it's rhythmically pretty free so it mixes with other things well. I never really put it on for listening, but it is a testament to some of the odder things that must have been going on back then.

I remember it turned up on a bootleg CD paired with Emil Richards' 'Stones: New Sound Element' about 6-8 years ago. 'Stones' is phenomenal, came out around the same time as this record.

i downloaded "psychedelic percussion" - it's about as cool as any album with "percussion" in the title is going to get, but essentially it's still just percussion instruments with vague psych effects. i've seen it for $25 and that's just way too much.

yopu can get the cd if you go to Jack Diamond's website, which is at a url I forget. I haven't heard that much of it, but Hal BLaine sure kcikcs ass. I cant even put my finger on what it is about his drumming, its just so solid, so nicely punctuated.
