Ah. http://www.myspace.com/unkle : "Look for a new UNKLE album early 2007." (not using that title anymore then? Is it because of the Joe Strummer movie with the same title?)

okay, the new UNKLE album kind of reminds me a LOT of Primal Scream. there are some quite nice tracks.

Ian Astbury...in 2007...guhhh...
― blueski, Friday, 8 June 2007 10:18 (eighteen years ago)
i actually think that 'Burn My Shadow' has some good Astbury moments. the Dan F minimal mix of it is also pretty passable-- i'd play it at a party, as a breather.

am i wrong to be enjoying the instrumental version more than the proper guest laden one ? in fact the Josh Homme track Restless positively jumps out without his vocals on it. and yeah, that Dan F remix is pretty fine methinks. in fact, there was an extra disc that came with pre-orders that goes deeper into the minimal thing (well as minimal as UNKLE can do with their cinematic production sheen of course) - again, i've been listening to that more than the album proper.
