OMG, this guy produced some of my favorite songs of all time (namely New Order's "Everything's Gone Green", OMD's "Electricity", and the Furs' "Soap Commercial").

Wow.

Sad.

:(

four years pass...

I saw a man at the convenience store today that I thought looked a lot like Hannett in his younger years. He was skinny, and I couldn't stop staring at the curls in his black hair. There are not that many people in the world who look like that. It spooked me a bit.

I used to work with someone who looked a lot like Martin Hannett (or, at least, the guy who portrayed him on 24HPP), the 'final' version.

ten months pass...

I have been posting Martin Hannett produced rarities and other post-punk things on my blog. If you are interested in Martin Hannett rarities, please search his name on my blog, thanks. I have another Hannett-produced 7" single right here ready to rip by some sortof pseudo goth band.

I have been ripping records like mad this weekend for this blog and I can't stop. I just don't want to do anything else right now. I've got another LP to rip right now from 1985 I think. I just got it in the mail yesterday.

Bimble, I wish I knew you were doing this: I had a copy of his first production, the "Belt and Braces band" LP, but I sold it on e-bay.

It was 'agit-folk', but I didn't record it as it all read totally depressing.

I guess they were more 'fun' live.

My god, Mark! Thanks for the news! I've never heard of that one before at all anywhere. I will definitely try to track that down. Thanks!
