Kiss?!? Styx?!? Come on people these bands might NOT be cool now, but they were kind of cool at SOME point (especially KISS)! Uncool in my book means no one UNDER the age of twenty might EVEN once have listened to one of your records willingly.

Again Arena (who possibly are the worst band I've ever heard described as "progressive") LTE, Transatlantic et al are too obscure to be "Uncool" surely? Probably the flower kings would be the least cool, if they were more widely known. I bought that first TransAtlantic album on the recommendation of a friend - I supoose it was worth it for the first 6 minutes or so of the long track, said bit being thrilling and audacious, but the rest of the album is pretty boring.

Derek Dick aka "Fish" hasn't sung for Marillion for years now. They have made more albums with their more recent singer, Steve Hogarth. Some of these albums at least are very very good, in a kind of talk talk goes prog way, but I suspect the likelyhood of anyone who doesn't already like them or is interested in them listening is very slim.

In ILM theory Geir should be a fan of Spock's Beard, given their big concentration on saccarine melodicness, but I bet he isn't.

I saw Quiet Riot in the bar of a bowling alley in Grand Rapids, Michigan, several years ago and it was one of the best concert experiences I've ever had in my life.

I can't read this sentence without hearing Carl from Aqua Teen Hungerforce as the voice in which it is spoken.

Also, I can't believe nobody's mentioned Dan Fogelberg. I mean some of the bands mentioned on this thread suck, but at one time some teenagers thought they were cool... Did anybody ever think Fogelberg was cool?
