Shut Up Kitty == Wonderfully Awful.

I just finished listening to the most horribly hilarious rekkid.
It's called Shut Up Kitty.
A comp of various Industrial/Elektroviolent dansssse bandz doing covers of all sorts of pop choons. U2, Jefferson Airplane, Public Enemy and Madonna all get Einsterzentrified!
While the new "Deiter-friendly" versions all sound cool, the funny part is the hopelessly inappropriate vocals each band used. Enough to make you roll on the floor grasping yours sides in uncontrolled gut-laughther.

  • Here's the Track Listing:
  • KMFDM - Mysterious Ways
  • Diatribe - Cold Sweat
  • Skrew - Sympathy for the Devil (not even recognizable as a Stones Choon anymore.)
  • Death Method - White Rabbit (HAHAHAHHAHAHAHA!)
  • Blue Eyed Christ - Obsession
  • Xorcist - Smells Like Teen Spirit
  • Clay People - Paranoid
  • DDT - Vogue
  • 16 Volt - Freedom of Choice (Okay, this one was played rather straight)
  • A-Politiq - She Watches Channel Zero!?
  • Non-Agression Pact - Boy
  • Babyland - Burnin' Up
  • Society Burning - Stand and Deliver
  • Fleshhouse - Good Vibrations (Oh...GAWD!)
  • Martyr Colony - In-a-gadda-da-vida
  • Virus 23 - Order of Death

Now is the time on Shprockets vere ve danse...

Ah yes, I remember when that album came out. That's a very slice-of-1993 tracklist.

Both KMFDM and Xorcist rock, but the presence of Skrew pretty much guarantees I will never own this album.

Dan Perry (Dan Perry), Wednesday, 28 May 2003 16:38 (twenty-two years ago)

The Skrew track sounds to me like a shapeless sheet of noise with bleeps thrown in at metronomic regularity. Sure, it bites big beef braunschweiger...but thats why God gave us the ">> Skip Track" button

I just discovered something utterly bizarre at the end of the disc. Some DJ woman freaking out about habit reversal (putting cayenne pepper extract on little kids fingers to keep them from biting their nails.)
WTF!?
Anyone every heard of something called Cybersocket on KSPC 88.7 Claremont?

That was a habit of the label who released the disc. They'd insert strange cut-ups and diatribes as hidden tracks on their compilations.
