VN played mostly Motley Crue songs, which are a bit better than SR on the whole. "Too Young to Fall In Love" was pretty dark and intense. I remembered at the show how good it was when everyone did pre-choruses, group shouts, and shredding leads. "Looks that Kill" was another great shoutalong song. "Girls Girls Girls" was a crowd chorus too. Really I was pretty much willing to scream and air guitar at anything by that point. There were a lot of group claps and raised fists.
Poison had a fantastic stage show with an elaborate lighting setup - a lot of pink and green; great pyrotechnics in time with some of the songs; spinning flame wheels at the back; smoke; confetti machines. Everyone really put in a performance - a lot of running on stage, kicks, and pelvic thrusts. "Fallen Angel" was really nice to hear and sing along too. "Talk Dirty to Me" too. They also played "Rock N Roll All Nite" by Kiss. The drum solo was a little bit of a drag. CC de Ville's guitar solo actually kind of got good at one point. He started out by copping some of the worst bits of the "Heartbreaker" solo but it was actually kind of exciting when he started the arpeggio-tapping stuff. "Nothin' But a Good Time" was a perfect encore. Altogether, the Vince Neil and Poison sets felt a bit more consistently enjoyable than Rush or Motorhead, maybe not as much as Sonic Youth last year but more than the two previous tours.

Oh yeah, I saw Sebastian Bach last year, he opened for G'N'R, and sang My Michelle. He got the crowd to chant "no more war", it was pretty awesome.
