Do you make up words for instrumental bits in songs? Or is it just me?

Like in "Killer" by Adamski [or Seal or Sugababes or George Michael]. Anyway, you know the Killer riff? I always sing; "Music you can dance to".

And to the plucked intro to "Jets" by Blur [off Think Tank] I always sing; "I know what girls want..." when, patently, I don't.

Oh, and you know the saxophone bit in Lipps Inc's "Funky Town"? Well, ever since I can remember, I've sung "The world is waiting for you baby, the world is waiting for you baby".

Do I need help? Please tell me someone else does this too. [Though if you sing the actual same words to the actual same songs, I'll be very very scared.]

I don't get how your words work. Like in the Adamski song, isn't the riff too long for your lyrics. So you still have to go: "Music you can dance to, bum bum bum bum-bum-bum"?

Eyeball, don't be so silly. Of course not.

I go "Music you can dance to, duh nee-nah nee-nah".

I didn't. Until I read this thread. Now I do.
