I heard rumors from some Tupac fans when I was in L.A. a few hours ago about how supposedly some have figured out that his "resurrection" will take place on July 7th, 2003. He will either emerge from the dead, or announce he never died, one or the other. Has anyone else heard about this?

Yeah, I've been thinking about this one real hard since, I don't know, February '02 or thereabouts, and while I totally remember how passionately I felt about this at the time — well, you know how it is: I'm older now, we're all older and we've all grown and changed in so many different ways. You can call me "soft" if you want to, or say I'm not "true 2 tha game" any more, whatever, it won't be the first time people've questioned my heart. And it won't be the last. But the bottom line is that I don't think the full ressurection I'd initally planned is in the cards for me.

Instead I thought I'd scale it down a bit and make it a sort of "friends-only" ressurection. Naturally all of you are invited, and I hope to see as many of you as can make it! I know how hard it is to get time off work, and lots of you have moved, and for obvious reasons I haven't been able to keep the closest tabs on some of you. (Deanne, did that business with the assisted-living center near Modesto work out? Here's hoping!) But I'm trusting the grapevine to spread the word: the "Resurrection Lite" will take place on July 7th, just over a month from today, at the Yukon Mining Co. in Hollywood (7328 Santa Monica Blvd Hollywood). I think breakfast is the best meal of the day and so I'm suggesting that we all meet there at 10:00. Now, I know that a few of you may be a bit put off by my choice of locations; the Mining Company's so close to Roscoe's that a number of you must be thinking, "Why not just eat at Roscoe's?" But the Mining Company has delicious food, and will make our gather a little less conspicuous. It is what's called a "gay-friendly" restaurant, and I hope that in my absence those of you who have "attitude" about such places have since grown out of that. I know I have!

I do hope that this invitation finds all of you in good health & spirits. I have missed you all so much! I'll do my best to explain everything at the breakfast, though things got so out of hand that I'm not sure I can even explain it to myself any more. But I'll do my best!

"C" you at the Resurrection —

That last line proves you are in fact Prince.

That last line likewise indicates that he calling on Ian Brown!

Shouldn't Don King be promoting this?
