James Blount (James Blount), Monday, 2 June 2003 16:09 (twenty-two years ago)

"But Aquaman, you cannot marry a woman without gills! You're from two different worlds!"

Ess Kay (esskay), Monday, 2 June 2003 16:15 (twenty-two years ago)

James Blount (James Blount), Monday, 2 June 2003 16:17 (twenty-two years ago)

God, I love Europe.

Ally (mlescaut), Monday, 2 June 2003 16:20 (twenty-two years ago)

Now, if only there were some Replacements action figures (complete with "Action Touring Van").

Charles McCain (Charles McCain), Monday, 2 June 2003 16:26 (twenty-two years ago)

the incredible hank (rollins)

"you wouldnt like me when i was angry"

jess (dubplatestyle), Monday, 2 June 2003 16:29 (twenty-two years ago)

...would the Tommy Stinson one come in a gigantic bottle? :)

janni (janni), Monday, 2 June 2003 16:30 (twenty-two years ago)

..but...but...the Hank one wouldn't be easy to pose! he's got such small feet in comparison to the rest of his body, however would he stand up?

janni (janni), Monday, 2 June 2003 16:31 (twenty-two years ago)

The Bob would come in a bottle -or a dress. The Tommy would have removable tonsils though.

dave225 (Dave225), Monday, 2 June 2003 16:36 (twenty-two years ago)

...would the Tommy Stinson one come in a gigantic bottle? :)

Yes. And the Bob Stinson one would come in a coffin.

Oh, I said it.

this reminds me of a company that will make an action figure out of anyone. for hundreds of dollars.

kephm, Monday, 2 June 2003 17:56 (twenty-two years ago)

it's actually not about action figures being for sale. it's a 3-dimensional sign someone made for a recordstore in Amsterdam, called Gigantic. references to several characteristics of (the music of) the Pixies are included (so he explaines): a UFO, Roswell-like surrounding, the 4 bandmembers (doh) and a monkey (gone to heaven) holding hands with Kim.
(would you be in heaven when she would be holding your hand? well, maybe 14 years ago i would've been)

willem (willem), Monday, 2 June 2003 18:22 (twenty-two years ago)

did i just spoil the fun?

willem (willem), Monday, 2 June 2003 18:23 (twenty-two years ago)

no, i wouldn't say you did. :) thanks for the explanation, but i really could see someone doing up figures like this, just the same.

janni (janni), Monday, 2 June 2003 18:39 (twenty-two years ago)

They wouldn't sell as well as the My Dinner with Andre action figures...

dave225 (Dave225), Monday, 2 June 2003 18:42 (twenty-two years ago)

...And the cactus from Cactus
