Fast Music With Good Lyrics (Music to survive through a day at a boring office job with)

Alright, here. The goal is simple. I have to find music in which I can understand the words (that is, they're audible), they make me think (that is, they're intelligent), and the music has to be fast enough to keep me awake. Please give an artist or two or more, along with the best album by them for my purposes and what genre their music is. I'd especially like to know if there is such a thing as intelligent Trance or House music, but I'll settle for punk, rap, rock, or whatever else you got...I'm sure there are others in as much need as I am.

Thanks,
Kevin

The "good lyrics" bit is debatable, but I wouldn't survive in this job if it wasn't for New Order when it comes round to invoicing season!

Um, I've got Gillian Welch on now. Which is really not fast but has very good lyrics.

James Brown performing Mind Power can't be beat for your needs here.

Kevin, try investigating early Murk material. that's really good house with great lyrics.

Also try Nitzer Ebb.

Intelligent trance with lyrics? I'm stumped.

If you can stand to listen to rock, Motorhead speeds the day.

I normally steer clear of pop-punk, but Flashlight Brown is really cool, and fits the bill. Not necessarily intelligent or GREAT lyrics, but good enough.

Horace Mann (Horace Mann), Thursday, 5 June 2003 14:00 (twenty-two years ago)

The Clash: s/t, Give 'Em Enough Rope, London Calling
Elvis Costello - This Year's Model, Armed Forces

Blood Brothers - Burn, Piano Island, Burn.
Ex-Models - Zoo Psychology
Don't know if the lyrics are intelligent on these, but at least they're interesting.
