Apart from: "Tsssooo! Tsooo! One tsooo!"

I once heard a guy doing Jesus Jones' sound (aww come on!! I was trying to get a girl into bed) say:

"'Ullo! 'Ullo! 'Ullo spider! 'Ullo!"

why isn't there a band named "sound check"? or is there? it would make posters stating "soundcheck at 9" really confusing for the fans...

Dab, there was Craig McLachlan and Check 1-2. But you don't need to hear them, not unless you like being hurt very badly.

I saw this band setting up once, and the sound check guy was blurting a series of random words...or at least I *thought* they were random, but I noticed that the words used a wide mix of sounds.
so it looked like this
"Sockmonkey Silverfish Sodapop" (listens to playback off the monitor, seems satisfied)
"Chicken Cheese Chokehold" (listens to playback off the monitor, seems satisfied)
"Fair Bare Fred Astaire" (listens to playback off the monitor, seems DISsatisfied, goes over to the soundsystem and twiddles some knobs.)
"Fred Astaire Got Not Hair, Nor Does a Pair" (listens to playback off the monitor, seems satisfied)
etc.

Do we need a thread about studio chatter on the beginnings/ends of songs?
